10/9/2008 - Tennis pro Todd Martin, the owner of 411 career victories and eight tournament titles, led a three-day tennis camp for beginners to advanced players at Ginn Hammock Beach™ Resort in October.
More than 60 participants took part in the resort’s weekend tennis event that featured personalized on-court instruction as well as off-court events with Martin, a two-time Grand Slam finalist ranked among the world’s top five tennis players before he retired in 2004.
“Our first Todd Martin Weekend was a great success,” said Harry Gilbert, tennis director for Ginn Hammock Beach. “This was a rare opportunity for our members and guests to receive tips from a world-class instructor and player to help take their game to the next level. Many walked away from the experience feeling very motivated.”
Tennis camp participants received two nights luxury accommodations, a cocktail reception, continental breakfast for two days, a Todd Martin photo souvenir and access to the Ginn Hammock Beach world-class spa and fitness center, fine dining and casual restaurants, signature golf courses and water park and swim pavilions as part of the $455 per-person package.
It was the first time Martin, a full-time father of three and part-time player on the Outback Champions Series, hosted a tennis clinic at Ginn Hammock Beach. Martin will return in the spring of 2009 to host another tennis clinic. Dates and schedule will be announced in a few weeks.
